Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an AI Engineer with deep expertise in Python/Java to lead architecture and deployment of scalable AI-powered services in a cloud-native environment. You will work on LLMs, AI agents and RAG architectures, and collaborate with product teams across the bank's ecosystem.

Strong emphasis on building reliable APIs, CI/CD, observability, and production-grade AI solutions on GCP, with a focus on financial services and compliance workflows.

Qualifications

• 13+ years in an AI Engineer role with leadership of technical initiatives.
• Hands-on software engineering for enterprise-scale distributed apps and AI solutions.
• Strong Python/Java, API, microservices, CI/CD, and cloud-native experience.
• Practical expertise with BigQuery and PostgreSQL; IaC and observability tooling.
• Experience with LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures and model evaluation.
• Solid ML foundations, feature engineering and model explainability.
• Financial markets knowledge and investment banking exposure is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.

Developing cloud-based compliance state-of-the-art archive products to archive and retain real-time communications data in line with internal and external regulatory requirements. The product is developed in-house in an agile development setup based on business requirements from multiple stakeholder parties. By employing continuous development and deployment principles, the team is aiming to transition from project to product management to support the bank with robust compliance archive solutions for the next decade.For a large global investment bank, we are looking for GCP-qualified cloud engineers to help with the FIC (fixed income and currencies) cloud migrations under Project Cirrus.Knowledge of Financial Services/FIC would be great, but the primary skills we need are in building, migrating, and deploying applications to GCP, Terraform module coding, Google infrastructure, cloud-native services such as GCE, GKE, CloudSQL/Postgres, logging and monitoring, etc., & good written and spoken English, as we would like these engineers to help with knowledge transfer to our existing development & support teams.We would like to place people alongside the engineers they'll be working with in the bank.

• Proven experience (13+ years) in an AI Engineer role,demonstratingsuccessful application of AI skills and advanced techniques to solve complex, real-world problems, witha track recordof leading technical initiatives.
• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience, including the design and delivery of enterprise-scale distributed applications and production-grade AI or Generative AI solutions.
• Deep expertise in Python or Java engineering skills and practical experience with API, microservices and asynchronous application design; experience with FastAPI, Spring Boot or comparable frameworks is beneficial.
• Strong experience with BigQuery and PostgreSQL, cloud-native architectures, Git-based development, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, observability and automated testing; practical knowledge of GitHub or Azure DevOps, Terraform and OpenTelemetry is beneficial.
• Practical expertise in LLM applications, AI agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, semantic or hybrid search, model evaluation and LLMOps, with hands-on experience in relevant orchestration, evaluation and observability tools.
• Solid grounding in machine learning, feature engineering, model explainability and analytical modelling, using relevant Python ML libraries.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products is highly desirable, with experience in Investment Banking / Treasury.
• Strong engineering mindset and ownership mentality, with sound judgement and the ability to structure ambiguity, solve complex problems, make pragmatic technical decisions and balance delivery speed, quality, risk, maintainability and long-term scalability.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand business needs, translate them into clear technical choices, manage expectations, influence decisions and build trusted relationships across business, product, technology and control functions.
