Job summary

Alstom in Bengaluru seeks an experienced AI/ML specialist to define, develop and sustain AI models for transport and mobility solutions. You will collect and transform data, collaborate with domain experts, and craft robust models for operational efficiency, with a focus on LLMs and Generative AI.

Qualifications

• Degree in artificial intelligence, computer science or engineering with extensive training in Data Science/AI (min 8 years exp)
• Excellent knowledge of Python programming
• Fundamentals of statistics, text mining or image processing, NLP, NLU
• Experience with Python data science stack (pandas, scikit-learn, Keras, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI)
• Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Strong knowledge of AI and machine learning algorithms (classification, regression, NLP, neural networks)
• Familiarity with LLM architectures and models (BERT, GPT-4, Llama 2, Mistral)
• Experience with Agile-based tools/principles
• Knowledge of Generative AI frameworks (HuggingFace, LlamaIndex)
• Experience in developing AI-based RAG applications
• Experience in cloud services (PaaS/SaaS, REST APIs, serverless)

Your future role

Define, develop, manage & sustain AI models to meet project/customer needs, by supporting data science and AI activities to:

• Collect, transform and explore data from disparate sources and combine them in a form suitable for model construction
• Identify biases or flaws in datasets and ensure that the training/validation design reflects actual operational needs
• Collaborate with domain experts to understand requirements, products specifics and data characteristics
• Design, build, document and maintain AI/ML models focused on automation and enhancement of operational efficiency to support business needs using a variety of techniques and tools
• Research new methods to improve robustness, explainability and trustworthiness of AI/ML algorithms
• Support showcasing of AI capabilities, convey complex ideas and illustrate findings to non-technical audiences through software prototypes, presentations, interactive dashboards, technical reports and consistent storytelling
• Work with external partners to evaluate opportunities from new mathematical approaches and AI technologies
• Provide support to software development teams for industrialization of AI solutions
• Participate in conference and events and actively contribute to the AI community through publications and projects
• Plan and execute AI training sessions

• Number/complexity of models compliant with requirements designed and delivered (with relevant contributors) to the catcher entity

All About You

Mandatory:

• Degree in artificial intelligence, computer science or engineering supplemented by extensive training in Data Science and AI or related disciplines(min 8 years of Exp)
• Excellent knowledge of Python programming
• Knowledge of fundamentals of modern statistics,text mining or image processing, NLI, NLP,NLU.
• Experience with Python data science stack (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, Keras, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, openAI)
• Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence & machine learning algorithms (e.g. classification, regression, dimensionality reduction, bayesian models, NLP, neural networks, deep learning etc…)
• Familiarity with LLMs architectures and models (e.g. BERT, GPT-4, Llama 2, Mistral, …)
• Experience working using Agile-based principles and tools
• Knowledge of Generative AI frameworks (e.g. HuggingFace, LlamaIndex)
• Experience in developing AI-based RAG applications
• Experience in cloud services e.g. PaaS and SaaS, Rest API, serverless functions

Desirable:

• Experience with Generative AI and LLMs for model fine tuning (SFT/Reinforcemnt learning)
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs data modelling and graph databases technologies
• Experience in developing AI-based Knowledge RAG applications
• Experience in developing safe and trustworthy AI-based applications

• Proven track record in high-quality AI-oriented solutions, including implementation of testing strategies and debugging
• You are truly passionate about data science and AI, ready to take new challenges, you are proactive and possess strong organizational and planning skills, along with excellent communication and presentation capabilities
• Flexibility to work successfully with both local and remote / international teams
• Fluent English
