S&P Global seeks an AI-focused professional to design and implement AI solutions across Platts workflows in Gurugram. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation and model-based insights that improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.

The role requires strong prompt engineering, NLP, Python, and change management, with the ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and train teams across global offices.

Qualifications

• Experience crafting prompts for generative AI.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, CS or related field.
• Strong understanding of NLP and applying prompts effectively.

About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 11

The Team

You will be part of a team in the Platts business line that is designed to meet the evolving needs of the business. The team coordinates with other business lines and operations to deliver on critical initiatives, ensuring business objectives are met effectively. You will work closely alongside the News and Price Reporting teams to ensure timely and consistent delivery of efficiency and AI-related projects. This position is part of a global team and regularly interacts with colleagues across international offices.

Responsibilities and Impact

• Design and implement AI solutions and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency across Platts workflows
• Collaborate with News and Price Reporting teams to identify opportunities for AI integration and process optimization
• Develop and maintain AI models and machine learning pipelines supporting business‑critical reporting and trading operations
• Provide technical guidance and training to cross‑functional teams on AI tools, best practices, and implementation strategies
• Partner with global colleagues to ensure consistent AI standards and practices across international offices
• Lead proof‑of‑concept projects and pilot programs to demonstrate AI value propositions to stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in crafting prompts for generative AI, with a portfolio of examples ranging from simple to complex scenarios. Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, computer science, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered. Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and its application in creating effective AI prompts. Proficiency in a scripting language like Python to facilitate prompt development and testing. Proficient in training and change management to foster technology adoption. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams. Proficiency in the English language, writing and speaking. Ability to translate technical AI concepts into practical applications for non-technical teams.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Practical experience with data analysis and AI-driven problem‑solving techniques. Experience in content creation activities – researching, reporting and content analysis.
