Job summary

Carrerlift is seeking an AI Engineer to design and implement autonomous agents that automate workflows and solve complex tasks end-to-end.

You will build agent pipelines using LangChain, LangGraph, and related tools, craft prompts, and develop RAG systems to enable document understanding. The role requires Python proficiency, exposure to LLM frameworks, and a collaborative approach in a fast-moving AI environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in AI/CS/DS or related field.
• 0-1 year Python programming experience (academic/projects).
• Hands-on with at least one LLM framework (LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex).
• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone/Chroma/Weaviate/Milvus).
• Familiar with Git, Docker, and basic CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical mindset and enthusiasm for generative AI.

Responsibilities

• Create AI agents to automate workflows and multi-step tasks end-to-end.
• Build agent workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or OpenAI Swarm.
• Design prompt engineering methods (system prompts, chain-of-thought, few-shot patterns).
• Develop and maintain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for document understanding.
• Integrate LLMs from providers via REST APIs and tool-calling designs.
• Coordinate multiple agents, manage state/memory, and orchestrate multi-agent interactions.
• Deliver well-structured Python code suitable for production.

About the role:

• Create and implement AI agents capable of automating workflows, reasoning through complex problems, and executing multi-step tasks end-to-end
• Construct sophisticated agent workflows leveraging frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or OpenAI Swarm
• Design and refine prompt engineering methods including system prompts, chain-of-thought reasoning, and few-shot learning patterns
• Build and sustain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems to enable document comprehension and context-aware responses
• Connect large language models from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, and Hugging Face through REST APIs and tool-calling designs
• Manage agent coordination across multiple agents, handle state and memory persistence, and orchestrate complex multi-agent interactions
• Produce well-structured, thoroughly documented Python code that meets production standards

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related discipline
• Practical Python programming experience ranging from 0-1 years, including academic coursework and internship work
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with at least one LLM framework-LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex
• Knowledge of vector database technologies including Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate, or Milvus
• Competency with version control via Git, containerization using Docker, and introductory continuous integration and deployment practices
• Analytical thinking and demonstrable enthusiasm for generative AI technologies and their applications
