Job summary

Vermont Information Processing (VIP) India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to build and deploy advanced ML and Generative AI solutions that solve real business problems.

You will work with Product Managers, ML Engineers, and Engineering teams to develop scalable AI-powered products. The role requires 10–15 years in Applied Data Science, strong expertise in Python, ML, DL, Statistics, and Generative AI, and hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and model deployment.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 10 - 15 years of experience in Applied Data Science.
• Strong expertise in Python, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Statistics, and Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI/Anthropic/Open-source), RAG, and model deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build ML models for forecasting, optimization, pricing, and recommendation systems.
• Develop Generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and LLM fine-tuning.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data science solutions.
• Perform feature engineering, model evaluation, and validation.
• Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Deploy ML models into production environments.
