Job summary

Impetus is seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead enterprise-scale AI, GenAI, Big Data, and Cloud initiatives. You will design and implement scalable AI/ML architectures and guide cross-functional teams across Data Engineering, ML Engineering, GenAI, Product and DevOps to deliver production-grade solutions.

The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI platforms on AWS, with leadership in architecture standards, governance, and technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years of overall technology experience.
• Strong background in Big Data / Data Engineering architecture.
• Hands-on Generative AI, LLMs and RAG expertise.
• Extensive AWS Cloud experience, incl. SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM.
• Knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow and Hugging Face.
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-grade AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Lead architecture for LLM, RAG, GenAI and AI-powered apps.
• Design scalable Big Data architectures and data pipelines.
• Architect and deploy AWS-based AI platforms using SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, Lambda, etc.
• Define architecture standards, security practices and governance.
• Collaborate with Data/ML Eng, GenAI, Product and DevOps teams.
• Drive POCs and evaluations of emerging AI technologies.
• Ensure scalability, security, performance, reliability and cost optimization.
• Mentor senior engineers and present roadmaps to stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced AI Architect / Senior AI Architect to join our technology team and drive the design and implementation of enterprise-scale AI, GenAI, Big Data and Cloud solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and architect enterprise-grade AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Lead architecture for LLM, RAG, GenAI and AI-powered applications.
• Design scalable Big Data architectures and data pipelines supporting AI workloads.
• Architect and deploy solutions on AWS Cloud, leveraging services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB and IAM.
• Define architecture standards, design patterns, security practices and governance frameworks.
• Work closely with Data Engineering, ML Engineering, GenAI, Product and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Drive POCs, technical evaluations and adoption of emerging AI technologies.
• Ensure AI platforms meet requirements around scalability, security, performance, reliability and cost optimization.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects and provide technical direction across AI initiatives.
• Present architecture, technology strategy and AI roadmaps to senior/executive stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

10–20 years of overall technology experience

Strong experience in Big Data / Data Engineering architecture

Hands-on expertise in Generative AI, LLMs and RAG

Strong AWS Cloud architecture experience

Experience with SageMaker / Bedrock / EKS / ECS / Lambda / S3 / IAM

Knowledge of PyTorch / TensorFlow / Hugging Face and modern AI frameworks

Strong understanding of MLOps, CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring and observability

Experience designing scalable enterprise data and AI platforms

Strong stakeholder management and architecture presentation skills

Good to Have

• Multi-cloud experience across AWS / Azure / GCP
• Experience with Vector Databases, LangChain, LangGraph and AI Agents
• Enterprise SaaS integrations such as Salesforce / ServiceNow
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments
• Experience with responsible AI, AI governance and security
