Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of CAD automation / CAD customization experience.
• Hands-on experience with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar.
• Experience with CAD APIs, macros, scripting, or automation.
• Practical hands-on Generative AI / LLM experience.
• Good understanding of prompt engineering and AI application workflows.
• Programming in Python, C#, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, VBA, or similar; Python preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering, drawings, BOMs, assemblies, and product structures.
• Experience with engineering datasets is highly preferred.
• Exposure to AI agents, RAG, vector databases, APIs, or LLM frameworks is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in applying AI to real-world engineering problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered applications for engineering and manufacturing use cases.
• Work with engineering datasets including BOMs, CAD data, drawings, specifications, technical documents, materials, and product information.
• Analyze, structure, clean, classify, map, and validate engineering datasets.
• Use Generative AI / LLMs to build engineering automation workflows and AI applications.
• Develop and optimize prompts, AI workflows, and AI agents for engineering use cases.
• Develop CAD automation solutions using CAD APIs, macros, scripting, or automation frameworks.
• Convert engineering rules, logic, and workflows into AI-powered applications.
• Build integrations between AI applications, CAD systems, engineering databases, and APIs.
• Test and validate AI outputs against engineering requirements and expected results.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers and software/AI engineers to develop and deploy production-ready applications.
• Continuously evaluate new GenAI technologies and identify opportunities to improve engineering automation.

• Work with engineering datasets including BOMs, CAD data, drawings, specifications, technical documents, materials, and product information.
