Job summary

Encube Ethicals Limited is seeking an experienced AGM to lead Environment, Health & Safety across multiple manufacturing locations in Mumbai. You will implement world-class EHS systems, ensure statutory compliance, and foster a strong safety culture.

The role requires hands-on expertise in ISO 14001, audit handling, incident investigation, risk assessment, and environmental compliance, with leadership across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 15–20 years experience in pharma, chemical, API or manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to multi-location plant operations.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental compliance and waste management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure statutory EHS compliance across all plant/site operations.
  • Develop, implement, monitor and improve EHS policies, SOPs and safety standards.
  • Lead safety audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities and ensure timely statutory reporting.

Job Title-Assistant General Manager (AGM) - EHS

Location - Mumbai

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned EHS leader to drive and standardize Environment, Health & Safety compliance across multiple plant locations. The candidate will be responsible for implementing world-class safety systems, ensuring statutory compliance, strengthening environmental management practices, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ISO 14001, safety management systems, audit handling, incident investigation, risk assessment, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Environment, Health & Safety Management
  • Ensure statutory EHS compliance across all plant and site operations.
  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve EHS policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
  • Drive organization-wide safety initiatives and cultivate a proactive safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
Safety Operations & Compliance
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, mock drills, and risk assessments.
  • Lead incident investigation processes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Monitor and maintain ISO 14001 & Safety Management Systems.
  • Ensure effective functioning and compliance of ETP and environmental systems.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities and ensure timely statutory reporting.
Training & Leadership
  • Conduct EHS training programs and awareness initiatives for employees and contractors.
  • Mentor site EHS teams and ensure effective implementation of safety practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to leadership on EHS performance and risk mitigation.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, statutory compliance, and safety standards.
  • Expertise in ISO 14001 and Safety Management Systems.
  • Strong experience in risk assessment and incident investigation.
  • Knowledge of emergency response planning and audit management.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to drive cultural transformation and employee engagement in safety.
Qualification & Experience:
  • 15-20 years Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, API, or manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to multi-location plant operations.
  • Strong understanding of environmental compliance and waste management systems.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale EHS initiatives and compliance projects.
Education
  • Engineering Graduate
  • ADIS / Industrial Safety Certification preferred
