Job summary

Jacobs in Hyderabad, India invites an AutoCAD Engineer with AutoCAD and Revit expertise to join our team. You will prepare and manage high-quality 2D and 3D drawings and BIM models, coordinating with engineers, architects, and project managers across disciplines.

With a minimum of 2 years in electrical design, you will ensure adherence to standards, support design changes, and participate in site visits for data collection and coordination.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electrical design.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and Autodesk Revit is mandatory.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and interdisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop BIM models and coordinate them across disciplines using Revit.
• Update designs to reflect project changes and revisions.
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and client specs.

Your impact

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Engineer with experience in both AutoCAD and Revit to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings and BIM models, collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD and Revit based on engineering and architectural requirements.
• Develop Building Information Modeling (BIM) models and coordinate them across disciplines using Revit.
• Update existing designs and drawings to reflect project changes and revisions.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and client specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Maintain drawing records and manage version control of all project documentation.
• Assist in project documentation, quantity take-offs, and clash detection (if required).
• Participate in site visits for data collection, verification, or coordination purposes.
• Hand on experience in AGL and electrical designs
