Job summary

Virtusa in India seeks a seasoned QA Transformation leader to drive AI/agentic testing adoption across projects, leveraging Playwright and TypeScript. You will assess testing landscapes, identify AI opportunities, define roadmaps, and establish HITL controls to ensure quality and governance.

The role requires 12–14 years in Testing/Quality Engineering, strong hands-on Playwright and TS, plus familiarity with GenAI, AI agents, and API testing, CI/CD, and automation framework development.

Qualifications

• 12–14 years of experience in Testing/Quality Engineering, Automation or Testing Transformation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript mandatory.
• Strong understanding of GenAI, AI agents, agent orchestration, AI-assisted testing, prompt engineering and HITL workflows.
• Experience with Playwright MCP or similar AI-enabled testing capabilities is highly desirable.
• Experience with API testing, SQL/DBT, CI/CD and automation framework development.
• Proven experience implementing AI/automation solutions and demonstrating measurable productivity/value.
• Strong stakeholder management, consulting, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to translate testing challenges into practical AI/agentic solutions and drive adoption across multiple projects.

Job Requirements

Role Overview: Lead the transition of AZ testing projects towards an Agent-Orchestrated Testing model. Assess the current testing landscape, identify AI/agentic opportunities, implement practical solutions, enable testing teams, and drive measurable productivity, quality and business value. Key points: Assess testing workflows across Functional, Automation, API, Data/ETL and Regression testing to identify opportunities for AI, automation and agents. Define and drive project-level AI/agentic adoption roadmaps and establish appropriate Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) controls. Identify and implement AI use cases for test scenario/case generation, test script/code creation, test data/query preparation, execution support, defect/root-cause analysis, reporting and knowledge acceleration. Evaluate and integrate approved AI tools/accelerators such as AZ Agents/AI4IT, AZ ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, ORBIT, CODP Test Case Generator and Playwright MCP. Enhance existing automation frameworks and develop reusable AI/agentic testing accelerators that can be scaled across projects.Analyse project workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity, coverage, quality and testing turnaround through AI. Track AI adoption, productivity improvements and value realization, and identify further efficiency opportunities. Drive tester upskilling towards AI-enabled Testing Operators, ensuring appropriate validation and human oversight. Partner with Testing Leads, Architects, Engineering teams and AZ stakeholders to implement and scale successful AI use cases. Ensure AI adoption aligns with testing quality, governance and GxP requirements where applicable.
