Job summary

Hindustan Drone Services Limited (HDSL) is building India’s next-generation Drone-as-a-Service platform with an AI-native marketplace connecting enterprises, drone operators, and consumers across sectors.

You’ll architect and build production-grade, autonomous multi-agent systems for AI Marketing, Dispatch, Coding/QA/DevOps, and Vertical Intelligence. This founding-level role sits at the center of our vision and offers Hybrid work in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• Production-grade AI/LLM applications experience.
• Deep understanding of agentic workflows and multi-agent state management.
• Strong Python & async FastAPI engineering skills.
• Experience with production RAG systems, embeddings, and vector DBs.
• Experience deploying AI workloads on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Architect multi-agent systems with advanced reasoning pipelines, state management, tool usage, fallback handling, and telemetry.
• AI Infrastructure & RAG: implement retrieval pipelines, long-term contextual memory, vector databases, and domain-aware knowledge graphs.
• Systems Integration: connect autonomous agents with our Python/FastAPI backend, Flutter apps, and AWS infrastructure.
• Evaluation & Observability: design frameworks to monitor latency, cost, reliability, and token efficiency.

You’ll Architect and Build:

You won’t be building generic demo chatbots. You will architect, deploy, and manage production-grade, autonomous multi-agent systems:

• AI Marketing, Customer Support & Sales Agents: AI Marketing thru plethora of channels, 24/7 multilingual voice + chat support, alongside personalized B2B prospecting and pipeline automation.
• AI Operator Dispatch Agent: Intelligent pilot matching, SLA routing, cluster-based dispatch, and live availability orchestration.
• AI Coding, QA & DevOps Agents: Self-healing code workflows, automated testing (Playwright + LLMs), and deployment validation pipelines.
• Vertical Intelligence Agents: Processing deep industry data (Crop intelligence/NDVI analysis, construction mapping, solar inspection, and surveillance).

Core Responsibilities

• Agent Architecture & Orchestration: Build robust multi-agent systems with advanced reasoning pipelines, state management, tool usage, fallback handling, and telemetry.
• AI Infrastructure & RAG: Implement advanced retrieval pipelines, long-term contextual memory, vector databases, and domain-aware knowledge graphs.
• Systems Integration: Seamlessly connect autonomous agents with our core Python/FastAPI backend, Flutter mobile apps, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluation & Observability: Design strict evaluation frameworks to monitor agent latency, cost, reliability, and token efficiency while aggressively eliminating hallucinations.

• AI & Agentic Frameworks: Claude API, OpenAI APIs, Gemini, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Custom Function Calling
• Backend & DB: Python, FastAPI (Async architectures), PostgreSQL + pgvector, Pinecone / Weaviate
• Infrastructure & CI/CD: AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, CloudWatch), Docker, GitHub Actions
• Integrations: Retell AI, ElevenLabs, Clay, DroneDeploy, Agromonitoring, AWS Rekognition

What We Are Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Proven track record of shipping production-grade AI/LLM applications (beyond simple wrappers).
• Deep structural understanding of agentic workflows, loops, and multi-agent state management.
• Production-level Python & async FastAPI engineering skills.
• Hands‑on experience with production RAG systems, embedding tuning, and vector databases.
• Experience deploying and monitoring AI workloads on AWS.

Strong Pluses:

• Experience with Voice AI / Twilio / Retell AI integrations.
• Experience in highly technical, low-headcount, high-ownership startup environments.
• Exposure to geospatial systems, DroneTech, or multi-tenant marketplace platforms.
