Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India is looking for a Guidewire developer to create and customize applications on the Guidewire platform. In this role, you will be responsible for developing software solutions tailored for the insurance industry, ensuring quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with substantial knowledge of the Guidewire Suite, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members.

As a Guidewire developer at PwC, you will specialise in developing and customising applications using the Guidewire platform. Guidewire is a software suite that provides insurance companies with tools for policy administration, claims management, and billing. You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing software solutions that meet the specific needs of insurance organisations.

You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, and to deliver quality. Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver value at this level with skills, knowledge and experiences related to Guidewire and managed services.
• Work as part of a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution.
• Engage with clients to understand needs, manage expectations, and deliver effective solutions.
• Contribute to solution strategy and delivery within Guidewire projects, including AES/AMS activities where applicable.
• Demonstrate ability to navigate both business processes and enterprise solution perspectives with a holistic view.
• Develop scalable Guidewire solutions in hybrid IT environments (on‑premises and cloud).
• Lead or contribute to proposal development and advisory work; mentor junior resources and contribute to a learning environment.
• Maintain high standards of quality, ethics, and professional conduct in client engagements.
• Collaborate with global teams to evolve applications, drive transformation, and improve business performance.
• Be comfortable during periods of instability with client Guidewire solutions and escalations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree and/or 5 years of equivalent experience.
• Preferred knowledge/skills: Demonstrates advanced abilities in solutioning the Guidewire Suite (on‑premises and SaaS) with a track record of on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Experience in Application Managed Services projects, Guidewire integrations, and leading complex engagements.
• Strong ability to deliver Guidewire solutions and navigate business processes and enterprise perspectives.
• Experience with AES/Guidewire lead integration development and advisory work.
• Ability to mentor and upskill junior resources and work with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for clients and internal stakeholders.

Technologies

• Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter and ContactManager, including leading related project teams.
• Guidewire Integrations within xCenter and external applications; experience with Apache Camel, Edge API.
• GOSU, Guidewire Event and Rules Framework, and object‑oriented programming.
• JavaScript, hosting and consuming web services that leverage Java; web service hosting and consumption using Guidewire Studio toolkits.
• XML coding; ANT, Maven and code repositories such as ClearCase, SVN, TFS.
