An established industry player in aerospace is seeking a talented engineer with expertise in Aero Engine Component Design and Non Conformance Assessment. This role involves working on complex fabrications and engine external components, ensuring high-quality designs and customer satisfaction. Sound knowledge of Aero Engine Component Design and Non Conformance Assessment Process, including sentencing of production Overhaul Service Components and Technical Variance.
Experience in design development and Non Conformance DARs, TAD, and QN assessment of complex fabrications such as casings, rings, complex unit mounting, fairings, inlets, outlets, and fairings.
Experience in design development and installations for engine external components such as ducts, harnesses, pipes, hoses, and brackets.
Understanding of engine subsystem level requirements for developing component-level concepts and modification policies for fleet cost and performance optimization updates.
Creation of design definitions, including geometry creation, design solution drawings, component models, drawing definitions, interface control documents, etc.
Design modification of gas turbine engine components to achieve cost reduction, resolve service issues, and manufacturing issues.
Reviewing concessions and recommending drawing changes through the Definition Alteration Request (DAR) process.
Fit, form, and functionality analysis of various components with defects through concessions, DARs, TADs.
Carrying out tolerance stack analysis and layout in UG, interacting with specialists like stress engineers, air system engineers, materials engineers.
Experience in development of engine control system hardware and software testing, understanding of engine health monitoring systems.
Experience in lifecycle engineering activities, specifically reliability engineering for engine components.
Preparation of AMM, CMM, EMM publications, and creation/editing of life management plans for engine components.
Experience in resolving customer queries/issues via service bulletins, modification bulletins, etc.
Experience in reliability management through LRU trend reports, service experience reports, root cause analysis reports.
Experience in design within context of safety requirements, DFMEA, and PFMEA methods.
Experience working with Teamcenter, UGNX, and PDM Metaphase software.
