Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Design SME with 10+ years of experience in the design and development of Aircraft Wings, Fuselage Structures, and Helicopter Airframe Components. The candidate will provide technical leadership across aircraft design programs, supporting conceptual design, detailed design, modifications, certification, manufacturing support, and structural integration activities.
The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in metallic and composite airframe structures, aircraft configuration design, structural layouts, integration challenges, and aerospace certification requirements for commercial, military, and rotorcraft platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Design SME for wing, fuselage, and helicopter structural design activities.
- Lead conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of aerospace structural components.
- Develop efficient and lightweight airframe structural solutions while ensuring compliance with performance, manufacturability, and certification requirements.
- Review and approve engineering designs, models, drawings, and design change requests.
- Support aircraft development programs from concept through certification and production.
- Perform design trade studies and optimization activities.
- Collaborate with stress, loads, aerodynamics, manufacturing, systems integration, and certification teams.
- Support resolution of in-service issues and root cause investigations.
- Participate in design reviews and customer technical discussions.
- Mentor junior designers and engineers in aerospace design methodologies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of aerospace structural design experience.
- Extensive experience in aircraft wing, fuselage, or helicopter structural design.
- Strong understanding of aerospace design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with both metallic and composite structures.
