Your Role

As an AEP Developer, you will design, build, and optimize data-driven digital experiences on Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). You’ll work closely with data engineers, marketers, and product teams to implement robust data pipelines, real-time customer profiles, and activation use cases across channels—ensuring measurable business outcomes and seamless customer journeys.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Solution Design & Implementation
• Translate business requirements into AEP architecture—spanning Schemas (XDM), Datasets, Data Ingestion, Identity Service, and Real-Time CDP configurations.
• Data Ingestion & Transformation
• Build and operationalize batch/streaming ingestions (Source Connectors, APIs) and author Query Service SQL transformations for normalization, enrichment, and audience readiness.
• Audience & Activation
• Define and manage audience segments, activation destinations, and monitor profile stitching quality to drive personalized, omnichannel campaigns.
• Journey Orchestration
• Configure event-driven Journeys/Decisioning (Journey Optimizer) and develop reusable components, triggers, and decision rules with robust error handling and observability.
• Governance, Privacy & Compliance
• Implement data usage labels, consent frameworks, and policies; partner with InfoSec to ensure compliance (GDPR/CCPA) and enforce PII handling best practices.
• Performance & Reliability
• Optimize queries, data models, and activation flows; set up monitoring, alerting, and SLAs; troubleshoot ingestion/activation failures with root-cause analysis.
• Document solutions, create runbooks, and support cross-functional stakeholders; contribute to engineering standards and best practices for AEP adoption.

Your Profile

• Experience: 3–7 years in MarTech/AdTech or Data Engineering, with 2+ years hands-on in Adobe Experience Platform (or equivalent CDP).
• Mindset: Product-thinking, data quality–oriented, with a bias for automation and observability.
• Communication: Able to translate complex data concepts into clear technical and business narratives.
• Collaboration: Comfortable working with marketing ops, analytics, engineering, and privacy/compliance stakeholders.

Top 5 Technical Skills

• Adobe Experience Platform Core Services
• Hands-on with Schemas (XDM), Datasets, Sources, Identity Service, Real-Time CDP, and Data Governance (labels/consent).
• AEP Query Service & Data Modeling (SQL/XDM)
• Strong SQL for transformations/aggregations; ability to design performant profile-centric data models and audience definitions.
• Integration & APIs (Batch/Streaming)
• Experience with Source Connectors, Destination integrations, HTTP APIs/SDKs, and event streams (e.g., Web SDK, Edge Network).
• Implementing Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) or equivalent orchestration tools; rule design, event handling, and decisioning.
• Monitoring, Observability & Governance
• Setting up dashboards, alerts, data quality checks, and enforcing privacy/compliance (GDPR/CCPA); troubleshooting ingestion/activation pipelines.

Nice-to-Have (Plus)

• Adobe tools: Experience with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Customer Journey Analytics, and Tags/Edge.
• Data Engineering: Python/Scala, REST, JSON, Kafka/Kinesis, Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration.
• Cloud & Storage: Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure, object stores, and warehouse concepts (e.g., BigQuery/Snowflake).
• CI/CD & DevOps: Git, pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, environments management.
• Certifications: Adobe Experience Platform Architect/Developer certifications.
