Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking an AEM UI EDS Consultant to design and develop modern, responsive web experiences using Adobe Experience Manager and front-end technologies. The role involves collaborating with business and content teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

You will work with JAM stack, design systems, APIs, and ensure accessibility, performance, and maintainability across projects in a dynamic global firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development with AEM
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6) and responsive design
• Experience with JAM stack and front-end frameworks is preferred
• Knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs and WCAG accessibility guidelines
• Familiarity with design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries
• Experience with Git and front-end build tools

Job overview:

The AEM UI EDS Consultant is responsible for designing and developing modern, responsive, and high-performance web experiences using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and front-end technologies. The role involves collaborating with business and content teams, translating requirements into technical solutions, creating intuitive content authoring experiences, and ensuring web accessibility, performance, and scalability. The consultant is expected to work with modern front-end frameworks, design systems, APIs, and CMS-driven digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise in responsive design and mobile first application design.
• Familiarity in Adobe XD, or other design tools such as Sketch or Figma.
• Expertise in Design systems, Style guides, Pattern libraries
• Expertise in front-end development, especially JAM stack
• In depth knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, knowledge of BEM methodology is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Detailed knowledge of JavaScript(ES6).
• Experience with Atomic design paradigm is a plus.
• Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of Web Accessibility WCAG guidelines.
• Understanding of information architecture and creating appropriate content structuring
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Deep understanding of core web vitals, web performance optimization techniques and best practices.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization, familiarity with finding performance insights using browser dev tool.
• Familiarity with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Familiarity with Micro Front End concepts and Headless Implementation would be a plus.
