AEM Frontend | Brillio | Remote | 7 to 9 years
Front end lead for the design, development, enhancements, and maintenance for all supported web properties and applications. Work closely with the business, UX and backend teams to create an optimal, responsive, accessible, and performant frontend architecture and designs using the latest tools. Work in a fast-paced Agile team, estimate development tasks during a Sprint without guidance, and ensure timely deliverables with high quality. Site enhancements, support and defect resolution will be required on an ongoing basis. Strong ownership for successful delivery across all SDLC phases—design, execution, bug-fixes, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
Review and continuously improve the quality of code for themselves and the team following development best practices, processes and guidelines. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments are required attributes.
Responsibilities
- Lead frontend development for large-scale web applications, ensuring scalable design and architecture.
- Collaborate with business, UX, and backend teams to deliver high-quality frontend solutions.
- Estimate tasks accurately, plan sprints, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Maintain and support existing sites, perform defect resolution, and contribute to ongoing improvements.
- Follow coding standards, review peers, and maintain documentation.
- Ensure accessibility and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a frontend lead developing large-scale web applications.
- Experience on at least 2 AEM Agile projects and understanding of the frontend workflow with the AEM stack.
- Preference for candidates who have maintained or architected frontend for large-scale AEM applications.
- Strong emphasis on design, architecture, and writing modular, reusable code for scale and performance.
- Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS) in a responsive design framework.
- Experience with unified UI libraries; jQuery and React.js are a must.
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs with performance and security in mind.
- Working knowledge of AEM frontend framework for UI integrations — HTL, Coral UI 2/3, clientlibs.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js & npm, Grunt/Gulp, webpack, and frontend development, setup and deployment processes with tools like Git, Jenkins, JIRA.
- Good understanding of Web Accessibility WCAG guidelines.
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JSON Web Token).
- Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools.
- Desirable: understanding of Adobe Analytics, Target, Launch from a frontend perspective.
Education
Full-time Bachelor's or Master's degree (Computer Science/IT preferred).
