Job summary

InfoVision Inc. is seeking an experienced AEM and DITA publishing specialist in Pune to drive content delivery and documentation projects. You will work on native PDF templates, DITA-OT integrations, and complex mapping for XML content.

The role requires 4–7 years in AEM with hands-on experience in AEM Guides, XML documentation, and Java-based back-end customization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure accurate, scalable documentation workflows.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in AEM development with 2–3+ years hands-on in AEM Guides / XML Documentation.
• Strong hands-on experience with DITA architecture (Maps, Topics, DITAVAL, Baselines, Keys/Conrefs).
• Proficient in Core Java, Sling Models, OSGi services, JCR/OAK queries (QueryBuilder, SQL-2), and Maven multi-module projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DITA & Publishing workflows and outputs (Native PDF, AEM Sites HTML output, JSON/XML exports).
• Customize PDF templates using HTML5/CSS3 Paged Media and manage DITA-OT plugins.
• Configure Profiles, Metadata Profiles, and Condition Presets (DITAVAL).
• Diagnose publishing errors and perform log analysis via Cloud Manager and JCR nodes.
• Develop Java & Sling-based services and integrate DITA content with AEM Sites components.

Job description

• Total Experience: 4–7 years in AEM development, with 2–3+ years dedicated hands‑on experience in AEM Guides / XML Documentation.
• DITA Core Knowledge: Strong hands‑on experience with DITA architecture (Maps, Topics, DITAVAL, Baselines, Keys/Conrefs).
• Publishing Customization: Proven hands‑on skills in Native PDF customization (CSS Paged Media, print CSS) and/or DITA-OT plugins (XML, XSLT, Ant scripts).
• Java & AEM Tech Stack: Proficient in Core Java, Sling Models, OSGi services, JCR/OAK queries (QueryBuilder, SQL-2), and Maven multi-module projects.
• Debugging & Diagnostics: Strong debugging skills across AEM Cloud logs, JCR node structure (/content/dam, /var/dxml), and publishing build traces.
• Cloud Ecosystem: Familiarity with AEM as a Cloud Service deployment workflows, Cloud Manager, and AEM user permissions/groups.

Roles & Responsibilities

DITA & Publishing Development

• Output Presets: Develop and maintain custom Output Presets (Native PDF, DITA-OT, AEM Sites HTML output, JSON/XML exports).
• Native PDF Templates: Customize Native PDF templates using HTML5 and CSS3 Paged Media (running headers/footers, cover pages, TOC, landscape/portrait layouts, callouts).
• Profiles & Filters: Configure and maintain Folder Profiles, Metadata Profiles, and Condition Presets (DITAVAL).

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

• Publishing Diagnosis: Diagnose and resolve publishing errors.
• Baselines & References: Debug baseline generation issues, version conflicts, and broken cross‑references in complex nested maps.
• Log Analysis: Perform deep log analysis via Cloud Manager, logs, and inspect JCR nodes.

Backend Customization & Web Editor

• Java & Sling Development: Develop custom OSGi services, Sling Servlets, and pre/post-generation workflow steps tailored for DITA assets.
• Web Editor Customization: Customize AEM Guides Web Editor toolbars, XML editor templates, and authoring validation rules.
• Sites Integration: Integrate DITA content with AEM Sites components and DAM asset processing pipelines.
• Authoring Support: Support technical writing teams on DITA authoring guidelines, content validation, and troubleshooting publication jobs.
