enGen Global in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced Java Full Stack SDET / Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable test automation for enterprise applications.

You will work with Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native architectures, validate messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and IBM MQ, and contribute to CI/CD, performance, and observability initiatives in a healthcare payer context.

Formación

• Strong Java programming and OOP fundamentals.
• Hands-on Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Expertise in API automation and REST API testing.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber/BDD.
• Proficiency in SQL/database validation.
• Experience testing distributed systems and messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, API, microservices, and event-driven apps.
• Develop automated test solutions for Java/Spring Boot applications and cloud-native architectures.
• Validate RESTful APIs, microservices, messaging systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Build and run functional, regression, integration, E2E, and performance test suites.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, BAs, and DevOps to ship quality software.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies; assist releases.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across dev, QA, and prod environments.
• Implement automation in CI/CD pipelines and promote shift-left quality.
• Validate Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ and other event-driven integrations.
• Contribute to performance engineering and observability initiatives.
• Stay current with automation, AI-assisted testing, cloud computing, and Java ecosystems.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack SDET / Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java-based automation frameworks, API and microservices testing, cloud-native applications, and healthcare payer systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, API, microservices, and event-driven applications.
• Develop automated test solutions for Java/Spring Boot based applications and cloud-native architectures.
• Validate RESTful APIs, microservices, messaging systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Build and execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance test suites.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, BAs, and DevOps teams to deliver quality software.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and release planning activities.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across development, QA, and production environments.
• Implement automation within CI/CD pipelines and support shift-left quality practices.
• Validate Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, and other event-driven integrations.
• Contribute to performance engineering, reliability testing, and observability initiatives.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in automation, AI-assisted testing, cloud computing, and Java ecosystems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (8/11/17+) and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
• Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and REST APIs.
• Strong expertise in API Automation using Rest Assured, Karate, Postman, or similar tools.
• Experience developing automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Experience with Cucumber/BDD Frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and database validation.
• Experience in testing distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as:
• Kafka
• RabbitMQ
• IBM MQ

Performance & DevOps

• Experience with JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or equivalent performance testing tools.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Jenkins
• Git
• Maven/Gradle

Cloud & Modern Engineering

• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
