Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru seeks an experienced engineer to design, simulate, implement, and test ADAS algorithms using C++. You will work with systems engineers to break down requirements and develop test cases, while creating DFMEAs and technical specs.

You will analyze defects to drive improvements and collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure feature functionality. The role requires a strong background in control theory, 4+ years of C++ development/testing, and proficiency in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 4+ years of programming in development and testing of algorithms in C++.
• Experience with State Estimation and advanced filtering methods.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and test ADAS algorithms using C++.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to support the creation and break-down of requirements and test cases.
• Develop technical specifications and DFMEAs.
• Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure proper feature functionality.
• Proactively identify and contribute to changes that help the product progress along its roadmap.
• Analyse defects and test results to ensure KPI achievement by root causing the issues and designing algorithm improvements.
• Work with colleagues and customers to develop and implement enhancements to address real-world performance issues.
• Complete assigned individual and team tasks.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in engineering - Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related technical field.
• Experience with State Estimation and advanced filtering methods.
• 4+ years of programming experience in development and testing of algorithms in C++
• Strong background in control theory & systems design
• Excellent data extraction & analysis skills (MATLAB, Excel)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of ownership for your assigned tasks.
