Product Engineer in the Technical function reports directly to the Sr Mech Eng Supervisor. Responsibilities include providing technical direction for the existing as well as new product development, design, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation. All responsibilities and duties are explained as below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Excellent knowledge of Design & development for Circuit protection Family i.e. Distribution Board, MCB, RCCB, RCBO and Isolators etc.
2. Excellent knowledge of BIS Process for licensing and should have good communication skills to make good liaisons with BIS officials.
3. Excellent knowledge of applicable product standards of switchgear IEC/IS/UL etc.
4. Excellent knowledge of products testing as per product standards.
5. Responsible for Product Costing and maintaining BOM.
6. Implement Cost reduction Idea through the Brainstorming and technological Evaluation.
7. Competitor product benchmarking and Data Analysis.
8. New product design Creation: Create new design of the product including the 3D data creation, drawings, and modeling.
9. Ability to achieve the cost targets in design.
10. Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation.
11. Excellent knowledge of Electrical as well as Mechanical concepts to serve Electrical products business.
12. Work closely with the cross-functional project team for deliverables of each phase.
13. Responsible to carry out VoC, QFD along with Marketing in the Project.
14. Maintaining the database for Products, including drawings and engineering documents.
15. Change management: release and control all engineering change management, coordinating with all factories, Quality and Sourcing. Tracking all the changes till the implementations through ECR & ECO Process.
16. Carry out Design for manufacturability (DFM) and material selection study on designs before releasing it for actual tooling.
17. Technical expertise in selection of plastic/metal material as per functional and standard requirement.
18. Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
19. Ensure that the product is delivered right from product design until launch wherein different functions of product design, product validation, engineering, quality, product verification, and purchase activity for development are performed.
20. Responsible for Plant Support which includes the layout planning, new equipment's/machine installation and commissioning, until the NPI is delivered and handover to Manufacturing.

10. Excellent knowledge of Press tools and Molds working and Manufacturing process.
11. Fluent in various CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Creo and analysis software.

13. Knowledge of Various processes such as six sigma, ISO.
14. Good communication skill and Ability to work in challenging environment.
