The role is responsible for handling day‑to‑day accounting activities, supporting audit requirements in coordination with team members and working closely with the reporting manager to ensure smooth and timely deliverables. Key responsibilities include preparing daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries, performing month‑end closing activities, preparing reports and assisting with compliance and audit‑related tasks.
Manage end‑to‑end accounting activities, including General Ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Monitor and review expenses, provisions, accruals, and balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Perform financial analysis, including Balance Sheet and P&L variance analysis, and provide insights to support management decision‑making.
Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of required documentation and resolution of audit queries.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, regulatory guidelines, and internal company policies and controls.
Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.
Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Operations, and Shared Services teams, including support for Accounts Payable, General Ledger activities, and process transformation initiatives such as NERP projects.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and accounting applications.
6–9 years of experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting and financial reporting.
Proven experience in managing and supporting statutory, internal, and other audit requirements.
Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and hands‑on experience with SAP.
Good understanding of financial controls, compliance requirements, and accounting standards.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
MBA, CA, or CMA qualification with relevant accounting and finance experience.
Proven experience in managing and supporting internal and external audits.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and financial interpretation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while meeting deadlines and business requirements.
Willingness to work in a hybrid office environment, balancing in‑person collaboration with remote flexibility.
Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to quality.
Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience working with SAP is preferred and will be an added advantage.
