Job summary

Fuller Technologies Cement India LLP is seeking a process optimisation professional to join the team that uses ECS/ProcessExpert APC Toolbox to improve customers’ manufacturing processes. The role involves extensive travel and requires high technical expertise and strong customer handling skills.

• Manufacturing experience in process industries.

• Experience with industrial computing, networking, OPC and ODBC/SQL data communications.
• Willingness to travel 40–70% including international assignments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process analysis to estimate potential improvement through ECS/ProcessExpert APC Toolbox implementation.
• Design, develop, test and deploy APC solutions for equipment‑based process applications.
• Establish and implement process control strategies and philosophies.
• Integrate communication between existing control systems and ECS/ProcessExpert APC Toolbox using OPC/DA or PLC interfaces.
• Conduct step tests and model identification.
• Fine‑tune controllers (MPC, fuzzy, PID) and implement innovative ideas to increase productivity and reduce fuel and power consumption.
• Provide customer training and prepare site‑specific manuals for continuous operation.
• Carry out analytical control measures and produce reports demonstrating efficiency gains.
• Maintain professional customer relationships and provide remote support after commissioning.
• Evaluate new developments in advanced process control technology and collaborate with the development team.
• Support hardware purchase, software installation, system integration, engineering, commissioning, coordinate with the programme manager, manage customer needs and deliver all deliverables on schedule.

About the role

You will be part of Fuller’s Process Optimisation Team that uses FLSmidth’s ECS/ProcessExpert® APC Toolbox to create online applications to improve customers’ manufacturing processes. This role requires extensive travel and a high level of technical expertise and customer handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process analysis to estimate potential improvement through ECS/ProcessExpert® APC Toolbox implementation.
• Design, develop, test and deploy APC solutions for various equipment‑based process applications.
• Establish and implement process control strategies and philosophies.
• Integrate communication between existing control systems and ECS/ProcessExpert® APC Toolbox using OPC (DA/UA) or PLC interfaces.
• Conduct step tests and model identification.
• Fine‑tune controllers (MPC, fuzzy, PID) and implement innovative technical ideas to increase productivity and reduce fuel and power consumption.
• Provide customer training and prepare site‑specific manuals to ensure continuous operation of ECS/ProcessExpert® APC Toolbox.

Project Lifecycle Involvement

• Sales support, solution development, project execution, and post‑implementation analysis.

Qualifications

• Some manufacturing experience in process industries, with knowledge of cement plant and mineral processes an added advantage.
• Strong interest in automation, process control and advanced model‑predictive applications.
• Experience with industrial computing, networking, OPC and ODBC/SQL data communications.
• Experience with DCS and/or PLC configuration, especially for integration with external applications.
• Exposure to advanced process control implementation.
• Willingness and ability to travel 40%‑70% of the time, including international assignments.
• Self‑motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of Python, machine‑learning algorithms and deep learning an added advantage.
• Team‑player attitude.
