Job summary

CNH Industrial seeks an Advance Engineer Electrical Integration to lead wiring harness design and integration for construction equipment. You will develop 3D harness layouts in CREO, generate 2D drawings in Capital XC, and shape electrical architecture across power, ground, and communication networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain machine specific harness 3D layout in CREO.
• Prepare 2D harness drawings in Capital XC.
• Design power distribution, ground distribution, and communication architecture in Capital Schematic/Logic.
• Create 2D harness drawings after 3D design approval per CNH specs PASD Design Methodology.
• Store designs in Teamcenter and follow release steps.
• Develop machine specific assembly drawings for EE group/type numbers in the BOM using CREO.
• Design/select harness retention components (cable ties, brackets, grommets).
• Understand wiring harness manufacturing processes and component selection (fuses, relays, connectors, wiring).
• Incorporate cost optimization ideas in wire harnesses and related components.
• Know wiring harness standards (DIN 72551, FLRY-B).
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS.
• Communicate effectively via design reviews and coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, supplier quality, and supplier teams.

Job Title: Advance Engineer Electrical integration

Job Purpose

Electrical integration engineer will be responsible for E&E components integrations and routing of wiring harness and connectors / fittings using CREO/Capital. This position will be supporting construction equipment segment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain machine specific harness 3D layout in CREO. designing with the accurate vehicle master model environment and adhering to the wire harness design & routing requirements Standard and supporting the vehicle architecture team in packaging major EE components (for example, batteries, modules, displays, ECU, starter motor etc)
• Preparation of 2D harness drawing in Capital XC.
• Desire to have experience in preparation of power distribution, ground distribution, and communication architecture in Capital Schematic/Logic.
• After approval of the 3D design, 2D harness drawings should be created according to the CNH drawing specifications and the PASD Design Methodology.
• All designs should be stored on a regularly bases in Team Center and all release steps should be used
• Assembly Drawings - Develop and maintain machine specific assembly drawings for each EE Group/Type Number in the BOM that is impacted by the project. This is to be done in CREO and to follow the assembly drawing guidelines/best practices for wire harnesses.
• Design/selection of harness retention components (cable tie systems, brackets, grommets etc)
• Good understanding of wiring harness manufacturing processes and in particular desire to have good understanding of component selection (fuses, relays, connectors, covering, wire etc.)
• Desire to have understand of cost optimization ideas in wire hereness and related components
• Knowledge of wiring harness related standards (Example: DIN 72551, FLRY-B etc)
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS
• Effective and clear communication via design reviews of concepts to foster detailed discussions to reach conclusions.
• Work effectively with Cross Functional Team (CFT) - manufacturing, sourcing, supplier quality, supplier, to ensure designs are meeting all set engineering requirements.

Experience Required

7 to 12 years of experience in off highway equipment design in electrical harness design. Preferred construction equipment experience (Backhoe Loader. Skid Steer Loader, Wheel Loader, Grader)

Technical skills: Basics of all construction equipment systems, including technical drawings, materials, manufacturing technologies with focus on electrical systems/layouts
Sound exposure of working closely with supplier in design releases
Experience in CREO/Team Center, Capital XC, Capital Logic

Preferred Qualifications

BE/BTech/BS or ME/MTech/MS in electrical Engineering, electrical & electronics engineering or equivalent
