Job summary

Google’s gTech Professional Services in Bengaluru, India, seeks an experienced engineering leader to manage a team of individual contributors and drive critical technical initiatives for advertiser and publisher solutions. You will hire, coach, and develop talent while delivering on engineering milestones.

You will mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure delivery aligns with strategic goals and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
• 8 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
• Experience in technical leadership, including leading business transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Be a dedicated people manager for a team of individual contributors, hiring, coaching, and developing staff.
• Own the day-to-day execution of a portion of the engineering roadmap in partnership with GCS teams.
• Act as the primary technical mentor, leading design reviews and setting a high bar for engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, and gAP Delivery teams to align with organizational goals.

• Expertise in building scalable systems, APIs, or data pipelines, with the ability to lead technical discussions and contribute to design decisions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills, with a passion for developing talent and building a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Be a dedicated people manager for a team of individual contributors. You will be responsible for hiring, setting clear expectations, coaching team members, providing feedback, supporting career development, and creating a high‑trust environment where your team can do their best work.
• Own the day‑to‑day execution of a portion of the engineering roadmap in partnership with GCS teams. You will manage project timelines, unblock technical challenges, and be accountable for the on‑time delivery of your team's projects.
• Act as the primary technical mentor for your team. You will lead design reviews, participate in code reviews, and set a high bar for engineering excellence.
• Work closely with other engineering managers, product managers, and the gAP Delivery teams to ensure your team's work is aligned with the broader organization's goals.
