Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) seeks an Illustration Specialist focused on Assembly Illustrations and engine/powertrain visuals. You will create detailed drawings and homologation illustrations, translating complex specifications into clear, engaging visuals.

You should be proficient with Catia Composer, 3DX, Teamcenter, Vis-Mockup and Photoshop, and comfortable collaborating with global design teams. Strong analytical skills and a willingness to work with non-CAD tools are essential.

Responsibilities

• Create Assembly Illustrations and Engine/Powertrain components Illustrations.

• Utilize 3DX, Teamcenter, Vis‑Mockup for design reviews and asset management.
• Edit images with Photoshop to generate high-quality visuals.
• Work in an international environment with global teams.
• Demonstrate strong MS Office skills (PPT, Excel, Word).
• Apply solid understanding of vehicle architecture and assembly sequences.

• Will be primarily responsible for creating Assembly Illustrations, Engine/Powertrain components Illustrations, and Homologation drawings
• Preferably, possess a solid understanding of vehicle architecture, engine/powertrain components functionality, and assembly sequence.
• Skilled in generating Illustrations using 3DX, Catia Composer, Teamcenter, Vis-Mockup and Photoshop
• Proficient in vehicle architecture to translate technical specifications into visually engaging illustrations.
• Tasks include creating detailed vehicle illustrations using Catia Composer, collaborating with design teams to visualize vehicle concepts, and utilizing 3Dx, Teamcenter, and Vis-Mockup for design reviews.
• Proficient in Photoshop for image editing and creating high-quality visual assets to enhance the vehicle design process.
• Capable of working in an international environment and managing relationships with global, regional, and local employees.
• Good analytical skills are required.
• Should not have hesitance to work on non CAD tools.
• Proficient in MS office suites (PPT, Excel, Word etc.)
