Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to ensure achievement of business targets and enhancement of profitability of the assigned area by providing effective leadership, planning resources, monitoring people performance & market changes, and ensuring timely operations support to ensure smooth functioning.

It also includes distribution building, retail development, and recruitment of Agency Partners and Advisors.

While the current market sees more than 15 non-life players in the private space and 5 exclusive private players in the health insurance space trying to capture a sizable market share, the nationalized service provider remains a strong competitor. The overall market sees close to 85% of the business renewing with the existing service provider, narrowing down the opportunity of fresh business to approximately 1500 odd Crs. With SMEs and start-ups being the driving force of the Indian economy, the opportunity to cater to these segments is immense and increasing year on year. The challenge remains in capturing a larger share of the opportunity by developing specific solutions for each segment of the business.

Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited (ABHICL) was incorporated in 2015 as a joint venture between Aditya Birla Capital Limited and MMI Strategic Investments. ABHICL aims to expand the health insurance category to wider customer segments with a unique proposition of “Health Insurance for All.”

Key Result Areas

KRA (Accountabilities)

  1. Ensure budget capacitation of Agency Partners (APs) and maintain 100% FYP capacity of manpower.
  2. Assist & guide APs in proper recruitment of Agency Partners and Advisors.
  3. Monitor the status of the budgeted FYP capacity of APs regularly.
  4. Ensure KPIs & targets of APs are communicated & understood.
  5. Carry out goal setting for each individual AP for the month, quarter & year.

Supporting Actions

  1. Collaborate with the Sales Training team to ensure timely training on products & processes.
  2. Conduct training on recruitment and selling skills to enhance productivity of APs.
  3. Monitor attrition of the sales team and take corrective actions.

Additional KRAs include achievement of business targets, identification of business opportunities, driving local sales promotions, relationship management, and team management.
