Job summary

Samarpan Official invites applications for an Addiction Therapist (Clinical or counselling psychologist) to join our Mulshi, Pune-based rehabilitation and mental health services. You will assess clients, manage a caseload, provide individual and group therapy, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across addiction, trauma, psychiatry, and family sessions.

We seek candidates with MA in Psychology or M.Phil.

Qualifications

• Required: MA in Psychology OR M.Phil. Clinical Psychology (preferred)
• Excellent organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication skills
• Good practice case management including quality record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Carry out client assessments and risk assessments.
• Carry a caseload of six clients
• Counsel clients about their substance use using recognized frameworks and the Samarpan treatment model.
• Facilitate interpersonal group therapy sessions
• Provide 1:1 therapy
• Facilitate psycho-educational workshops, relapse prevention skills training, and other group activities.
• Create and review treatment plans.
• Produce and update client files and case notes.
• Liaise with other relevant professionals about clients
• Facilitate family/couples sessions
• Attend team meetings
• Attend clinical supervision, line management reviews and staff support sessions.
