Job summary

Genpact India is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to support client reporting across pricing and financials. You will perform tasks, analyses and documentation, aiding transition and knowledge retention while ensuring accuracy to client guidance.

The role requires 5+ years in Life & Annuity, strong actuarial modeling skills with PolySystems/AXIS/MGAlfa, and fluency in Excel, VBA, SQL, Word and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• US ASA equivalent with 5+ years in Life & Annuity insurance.
• Strong actuarial work experience and understanding of US life products; familiarity with GAAP, STAT and Tax reporting concepts.
• Proficiency with actuarial modeling tools (PolySystems, AXIS, MGAlfa) and with Excel, VBA, SQL, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide process support and perform tasks/projects/analysis assigned by the Client process manager.
• Understand the full Client reporting landscape across pricing and financials and perform tasks/analysis as directed.
• Support transition of tasks, documentation, training, and monitoring progress.
• Act as a Doer / Checker producing commentary with detailed analysis to support results.
• Suggest process improvements and efficiency gains in coordination with Genpact and ClientOwners.
• Create and review documents to ensure alignment with Client guidance.
• Support Client teams and offshore transition by identifying opportunities for growth.
• Understand end-to-end actuarial processes and facilitate feedback on processes and models.
• Coordinate expectations and priorities with Client and Genpact leaders.
• Balance workload and maintain knowledge through ongoing tasks.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Process Support
2. Understand the full Client reporting landscape across pricing and financials and perform tasks/projects/analysis assigned by the Client process manager.
3. Support the transition of assigned tasks documentation, training, monitoring progress, etc.
4. Act as a Doer / Checker producing commentary with detailed analysis to support the results.
5. Value Generation - Pro-actively seek ways to improve efficiency and calibrate with Genpact team and Client process owners for their direction and prioritization to execute process improvements.
6. Produce and review the documents (technical or otherwise) that the team produces to ensure they adhere to the guidance provided by the Client process owner.
7. Support Client team leads business initiatives and projects as per Client Process Managers preference and priority - participate as needed for providing process improvement opportunities to Client business owners.
8. Understand end-to-end functionality of the actuarial process.
9. Facilitate feedback on processes and models between Client and Genpact.
10. Identify potential areas of support and growth areas for the offshore team.
11. Coordinate with Client and Genpact leaders on expectations, priorities, transitioning work to offshore.
12. Perform process tasks and activities as needed to maintain knowledge, serve as back up and balance workload.
13. Create knowledge repository through process documentation and keep it current.

Preferred candidate profile

1. US ASA equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Life & Annuity insurance industry
2. Strong actuarial work experience and understanding of US life products & Knowledge of US regulations - GAAP, STAT, and Tax reporting concepts
3. Specific knowledge of tools Any actuarial modeling tool (preferably PolySystems, AXIS or MGAlfa), Excel, VBA, SQL, Word, PowerPoint
4. Knowledge of actuarial modeling, preferably for US products
