Overview

ACTREC Molecular Genetics Analysis Research Fellow Recruitment

Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project: Molecular genetic analysis of clinically high risk oral leukoplakia to identify potentially high risk lesions.

Duration: Six months with progress monitored; extension based on quarterly evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to molecular genetics analysis related to the project, including documentation and data management as required.

Qualifications

• MSc degree (2 years) in Life Science or related subjects (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Medical genetics, Life sciences, Biochemistry, Zoology, etc.).
• Experience: excellent acquaintance/first-hand experience with molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction from human/animal tissues and tumours, PCRs (including qPCR), western blotting, immunohistochemistry is strongly desirable.
• Proficiency in maintaining patient records utilizing EXCEL/SPSS.
