Job summary

Leverage Edu is seeking an Associate Accounts Receivable to join the Finance team in India. You will manage end-to-end AR processes, ensure timely revenue booking, and monitor collections across the business.

You will work with cross-functional teams to support month-end closures, maintain ledger accuracy, and drive improvements in processes within a fast-growing ed-tech startup.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a minimum of two years of experience in AR/revenue/collections.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and revenue recognition.
• Hands-on in financial reporting, reconciliation, and rectification entries.
• Proficient in MS Excel with good analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in startups or high-growth environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable processes including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate revenue booking as per policies and standards.
• Monitor customer accounts for delays and proactively follow up for collections.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, adjustments, credit notes, and write-offs.
• Provide provisions for doubtful debts based on monthly reports.
• Maintain day-to-day accounting of receivables and ledger accuracy.
• Prepare MIS reports on daily, weekly, and monthly frequencies (collections, aging, DSO).
• Perform customer account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Sales/Operations to track billing milestones and revenue realization.
• Support month-end/year-end closing activities related to receivables.
• Coordinate with banks for receipt tracking and reconciliation.
• Ensure GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances related to billing and collections.
• Assist in AR automation and process improvements.

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Accounts Receivable to be a part of the Finance vertical. You are someone well versed with accounting principles, revenue processes, and collections management, with a strong desire to learn and hustle. You will be working alongside the Finance Manager and the Revenue Recognition Expert to ensure timely revenue booking, collections, and reconciliation.

As a top performer, you should be driven, self-motivated, and highly passionate about working in the Ed-tech space. Youll work closely with a diverse group of people coming from leading MNCs such as McKinsey, BCG, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, and startups such as Byju's, Paytm, etc., to establish, nurture, and grow business across categories & territories.

What will you do:

What will you need:

• Graduate with a minimum of two years of experience
• Prior experience in Accounts Receivable / Revenue / Collections
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and revenue recognition principles
• Hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and rectification entries
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel
• Good analytical, communication, and process-oriented mindset
• Prior experience in handling high-growth environments (3X+ growth in a year preferred)
• Experience in accounting/finance roles in startups is a plus
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Aggressive and interested in working in a stealth-mode ed-tech start-up where learning is immense
• Strong ownership mindset and accountability
• Demonstrate business acumen with strong organizational skills and strategic orientation
