Key Responsibilities

Process Governance & Coordination

• Act as the AP process authority, providing guidance and direction on process standards, controls, and best practices across regions and delivery centers.
• Drive consistent execution of AP processes by establishing clear governance, challenging deviations, and promoting adherence to agreed operating standards.
• Mentor operational teams on complex processes, control, and compliance topics, strengthening organizational capability, and reducing dependency on escalations.
• Anticipate process risks and control weaknesses, implementing preventive measures that reduce issue occurrence, operational disruptions, and compliance gaps.
• Orchestrate resolution of complex cross-functional issues, ensuring sustainable outcomes through root cause elimination rather than short-term fixes.
• Leverage lessons learned from audits, incidents, escalations, and transformation activities to continuously strengthen process design, controls, and ways of working.
• Lead root cause analysis of recurring issues, customer escalations, SLA breaches, and process inefficiencies.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with operational teams and business stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for standardization, simplification, automation, and productivity improvement.
• Develop data-driven recommendations and support the implementation of sustainable process improvements.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, and business stakeholders to address process challenges and improvement opportunities.
• Act as the key liaison between delivery centers and business functions.
• Facilitate governance discussions and present operational insights, risks, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Support resolution of cross-functional issues requiring coordination across multiple teams, countries, and regions.

Controls, Risk & Compliance

• Coordinate activities supporting compliance with internal controls, policies, audit requirements, and regional regulations.
• Monitor control effectiveness and support remediation of identified gaps and risks.
• Partner with relevant functions to address exceptions and compliance concerns.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of remediation actions.

Knowledge Management & Process Development

• Transform lessons learned from incidents, audits, process failures, and improvement initiatives into updated standards, controls, and ways of working.
• Drive adoption of new processes by ensuring teams understand not only what changed, but why the change delivers value.
• Build organizational capability through targeted training, expert coaching, and sharing of proven practices across teams and locations.
• Showcase successful improvements, measurable results, and leading practices to accelerate replication across functions, regions, and delivery centers.
• Leverage operational insights and implementation of learnings to increase process maturity, reduce dependency on key individuals, and strengthen long-term operational resilience.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors or masters degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field.

Experience

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, P2P, Shared Services, GBS, or Finance Operations within complex multinational organizations.
• Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes in productivity, quality, compliance, service performance, or customer experience.
• Demonstrated experience stabilizing operations following transitions, transformations, system implementations, or organizational changes.
• Strong experience identifying systemic process issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across business functions, regions, and delivery centers without direct authority.
• Proven ability to translate operational data, performance trends, and stakeholder feedback into actionable recommendations and execution plans.
• Experience establishing governance mechanisms, performance management routines, and process controls that drive accountability and operational discipline.
• Experience working with workflow and case management platforms, preferably ServiceNow, to improve process transparency, control, and customer experience.
• Strong exposure to audit, compliance, risk management, and process standardization within a global business environment.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable and P2P processes.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (SAP S/4HANA is a plus).
• Experience with workflow and case management tools, preferably ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with Power BI, Excel, Celonis, Power Automate, Alteryx, or similar tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AP controls, vendor master governance, and audit requirements.
