Job summary

VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) in Pune is seeking a finance and accounting professional to support day-to-day accounting operations within the VHA function. This role covers invoicing, accounts payable processing, supplier reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting support.

You will contribute to month-end and year-end closes, ensure policy adherence, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate financial operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting/finance operations.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software; Oracle ERP advantageous.
• Strong reporting, MIS skills and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting activities including invoicing, accounts payable processing, supplier reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and controls.
• Assist in budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Manage queries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Contribute to audits and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare and support management reporting and MIS requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient finance operations.

About this Role

We are seeking a finance and accounting professional to support day-to-day accounting operations within the VHA function. This role is responsible for performing invoicing, accounts payable processing, supplier reconciliations, bank reconciliations, query management, and financial reporting support. The successful candidate will contribute to month-end and year-end close activities, ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient and accurate financial operations.

• Contribute to the successful completion of internal and external audits.
• Maintain accuracy and quality standards across all assigned activities.
• Prepare and support management reporting and MIS requirements.

Who you are

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or a related role.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with financial statements and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software; knowledge of Oracle ERP would be advantageous.
• Good reporting and MIS skills with strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, accountable, customer-focused, and results-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

• Knowledge of the telecommunications industry would be beneficial.
