Job summary

Valeo in Chennai, India, is seeking an Accountant for Accounts Payables to manage end-to-end payables activities and support monthly closings. The role entails recording transactions per local regulations and MAF standards, coordinating with internal and external partners, and contributing to audits and tax checks.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting experience in payables and financial processes.
• Understanding of local laws and tax fundamentals for accounting entries.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Record accounting transactions in assigned area per local law and MAF standards.
• Process accounts payable activities including verification and posting of invoices.
• Manage payables schedule, receipts, and balance sheet substantiation.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and monthly closing support.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners for audits and tax checks.

Primary documents requirements check (master datas, reception...)

Records archive

Executing of subsequent operations in account system (unblocking for payment, payments processing, items clearing, ...)

Observance / check of observance of the internal audit LSF rules

Balance Sheet justification preparation (payables sub ledger)

Monthly closing supporting documentation preparation

Preparation of supporting documents for audits and Tax checks

Communication with partners (external and internal)

Differences accounting and solving (price, volume, payment)

E-proc requests approving (check account number)

Contribute to Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting code of Ethics and Valeo's policies.
