Job summary

I P R S is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts & Taxation staff to join our Chennai-based team. You will handle day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll processing, and basic taxation compliances for clients across India, UAE, Singapore, and the USA.

You will work with domestic and international clients, ensuring accuracy, timely MIS reporting, and compliance with GST, TDS, and Income Tax.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in commerce, accounting, or finance.
• M.Com/CA Inter/CMA Inter or equivalent adds advantage.
• Prior experience in accounting and bookkeeping is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Basic knowledge of TDS, GST, and Income Tax.
• Basic knowledge of Transfer Pricing and MCA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for clients.
• Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable records.
• Prepare monthly MIS reporting and review financial statements.
• Perform reconciliations of banks, ledgers, customers, and vendors.
• Assist in invoicing, payroll processing, and tax compliance.
• Coordinate with domestic and international clients for information.

Role Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts & Taxation Staff to join our team.

The selected candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, monthly MIS reporting, financial statement review, invoicing, payroll processing, and basic taxation compliances.

The role also provides an opportunity to work with domestic and international clients and gain exposure to India, UAE, and Singapore accounting and taxation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete accounting and bookkeeping in accordance with applicable accounting policies, standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain and update Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable records.
• Perform bank, ledger, customer, and vendor reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and MIS reports.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Handle invoicing and billing activities.
• Assist in payroll processing and related accounting entries.
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with TDS, GST, and Income Tax compliance and related activities.
• Assist in basic Transfer Pricing matters and documentation.
• Handle routine MCA-related compliance and company structuring activities as required.
• Assist in accounting and compliance assignments for international clients.
• Work on Singapore GST and UAE VAT assignments, where applicable.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate with clients for obtaining accounting and financial information.
• Prepare reports and schedules as required by the senior team and partners.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned work and maintain proper documentation.
• Keep updated with relevant changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skill sets

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Candidates with M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent qualifications will have an added advantage.
• Prior experience in accounting and bookkeeping is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Basic knowledge of TDS, GST, and Income Tax.
• Basic knowledge of Transfer Pricing.
• Knowledge of MCA and company structuring aspects will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Singapore GST and UAE VAT will be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting-related applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
