Job summary

M/S Canopus Wet Wipes is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and financial controls. You will partner with management across departments to ensure accurate financial information and robust processes.

Key duties include managing AP/AR, timely financial statements, audits, tax compliance, and strengthening internal controls while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivables, expenses, invoicing and reconciliations.
• Maintain books and ensure timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Manage bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor receivables, payables, cash flows, and working capital.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants and statutory compliance requirements.
• Review purchase, sales invoices and expense documentation.
• Provide insights on costs, margins and budgeting; support forecasting and variance analysis.

The role will work closely with management and other departments to ensure accurate financial information and effective financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable,receivables, expenses, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor receivables, payables, outstanding payments, and cash flows.
• Coordinate and comply with GST, TDS, income tax, audit, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
• Review purchase invoices, sales invoices, expense claims, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor costs, margins, expenses, and working capital and provide relevant insights to management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
• Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls, processes, and documentation.
• Work closely with procurement, sales, production, logistics, and management teams on financial and commercial matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, controls, and overall financial efficiency.
