Job summary

Lodha is seeking an Accounting & Finance Manager to lead the Mumbai/Delhi finance team and own financial reporting for UK entities. You will ensure accurate consolidation and timely delivery of numbers, reporting to the Associate Director in the UK.

The role requires ACCA and strong core accounting skills, with exposure to international accounting, UK FRS 102, and SAP for consolidation and reporting across multi-entity structures.

Role:

Accounting & Finance Manager

Location:

Mumbai

Job Profile:

A core finance role supporting Lodha UK's development entities,

responsible for leading the Mumbai/Delhi finance team and owning financial reporting and account consolidation for the UK entities. Reporting to the Associate Director in the UK, the post holder will act as the technical and managerial anchor for the wider team, ensuring the numbers are both accurate and delivered on time.

The role requires an ACCA qualified accountant with strong core

accounting skills, experience of international accounting and consolidation, and working knowledge of UK FRS 102, who can manage people as confidently as they manage a ledger.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and develop the two person Accountant team allocating work, reviewing output and building their capability over time.
• Take a proactive, solution oriented approach to identifying and resolving issues raised by the team.
• Supervise day to day SAP data entry and coordinate with SAP

and IT support teams as required.

Financial Reporting & Account Consolidation

• Prepare Excel based financial statements, incorporating all

required adjustments to income, costs and balance sheet items in the accounting currency; convert results into the group reporting currency for consolidation; provide information to the Group Consolidation team; and respond to related queries.

• Prepare and deliver periodic management reports, including cost reports, revenue reports, cash flow reports, vendor and customer ledger scrutiny, and the intercompany loan master file.
• Apply UK FRS 102 and international accounting knowledge to ensure financial statements are technically sound.
• SAP expert knowledge in consolidating and reporting the transactions. Understanding the finance approval matrix and ability to implement and oversee financial transactions using SAP and other Smart tools.

Accounting Governance & Close Management

• Ensure transactions are recorded promptly and that SAP monthly accounting periods are closed on schedule.
• Perform detailed ledger reviews; investigate mismatches and clear or resolve open items before each monthly close.
• Review and approve SAP postings prepared by the team.

Compliance & Stakeholder Management

• Compile complete and accurate information to support the preparation and submission of UK VAT returns.
• Act as the day to day link between the Mumbai/Delhi team and the Associate Director in the UK.
• Work in line with UK office hours and the UK holiday calendar; communicate confidently in written and spoken English with colleagues in the London office and with external parties, as required.
• Take on any other relevant tasks as required.

Essential:

• CA or MBA Finance.
• Strong core accounting skills, with proven expertise in financial reporting and account consolidation.
• Experience of international accounting, ideally across multi entity or group structures.
• Working knowledge of UK FRS 102.
• Prior experience managing or supervising a team.
• Confident written and spoken English for daily contact with the London office.

Desirable Technical Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• High on AI literacy
• Exposure to real estate or property development accounting, including inventory/WIP treatment.
• Experience supporting UK VAT return preparation.
