Job summary

MetaMorph is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of experience in a B2C startup to manage core accounting operations, bookkeeping, taxation, monthly closings, and reporting.

You will drive the close process, prepare IFRS/Ind AS statements, and develop MIS, dashboards, and investor-ready reports while liaising with auditors and regulators.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a B2C startup
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, taxation (direct + indirect), monthly closing, IFRS/Ind AS, and financial reporting
• Excellent communication and ability to interface with investors/leadership
• Independent, detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and maintenance of books of accounts
• Handle GST, TDS, income tax filings, and statutory compliance timelines
• Drive monthly financial close and ensure ledger accuracy
• Prepare financial statements per IFRS/Ind AS standards
• Build MIS, dashboards, and management reporting
• Support investor-ready financial reports and board/ds meetings with clear data

About the Role

We're looking for a Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of experience in a B2C startup environment to manage our core accounting operations bookkeeping, taxation, monthly closings, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and ensure accurate, timely maintenance of books of accounts
• Handle direct and indirect taxation- GST, TDS, income tax filings, and compliance with statutory timelines
• Drive the monthly financial closing process and ensure accuracy across all ledgers
• Prepare financial statements in line with IFRS/Ind AS standards
• Build and maintain general financial reporting- MIS, dashboards, and management reports
• Support the preparation of investor-ready financial reports and data; assist leadership during investor and board meetings with clear, accurate financial information
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Help set up and improve financial processes, controls, and systems as the company scales

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience, with prior exposure to a B2C startup strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping, taxation (direct + indirect), monthly closing processes, IFRS/Ind AS, and financial reporting
