Job Summary

The Accountant II is responsible for the general ledger activities on the DTC accounting team, ensuring accurate financial records and conducting timely account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Performs month‑end closing activities including account analysis, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation/input, maintenance of journal entry and reconciliation logs, and preparation of internal reports.
• Manages accounting topics such as prepaids, marketing and demand creation expenses, DTC expense and accruals, gift cards, and other unique tender types and incentive accruals.
• Supports DTC business with month‑end closing tasks across a wide variety of topics.
• Accurately prepares monthly retail reserve summary and prepares Quarterly Financial Review and Quarterly Business Review content as necessary.
• Supports master data maintenance processes for new and closed stores, including financial dimension impacts.
• Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Understands and complies with internal controls, maintains SOX compliance activity and documentation, and assists with internal and external audits.
• Performs self‑review of work to deliver high‑quality, error‑free work product; maintains a high level of productivity; delivers continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes; recommends streamlining or quality improvement opportunities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 2‑4 years of professional experience and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience or 3+ years of public accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
