The role requires strong hands-on experience in general accounting, reconciliations, taxation, and financial reporting, particularly within the freight forwarding industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts including vouchers, journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and systematically.
• Process vendor bills and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up on collections.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations.
• Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
• Assist with payroll processing and related activities.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Prepare AR/AP reports and financial dashboards.
• Perform ledger reconciliations and job profitability analysis.
• Process documentation for overseas payments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with GST and TDS compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tb> or freight-specific accounting systems.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry with exposure to general accounting.

Qualifications

B.Com / MBA (Preferred).
