Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Surat. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and maintenance of general ledgers. The role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, monitoring cash flow, reconciling bank statements, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will assist with budgeting, cost tracking for garment production, and preparation of financial reports for management. The role also includes ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and local tax regulations, coordinating with internal departments, and supporting external audits.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in accounting fundamentals, including double-entry bookkeeping, ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, or similar tools) and solid Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of local tax laws, GST, and regulatory compliance relevant to manufacturing and garment industries.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with production, sales, and management teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA/CPA/ICWA or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, preferably within manufacturing, retail, or textiles, is beneficial.
