Position Purpose:

The purpose of a Counsellor is to guide prospective students through the application process, assess their qualifications, and determine their suitability for the programs offered by the company.

Position Overview:

As a Counsellor - Sales, you will be a key member of the Sales team, responsible for guiding potential students through enrollment, answering inquiries, and providing information about available programs and courses. You will work closely with the admissions team to develop strategies for attracting and retaining students. Your expertise in admissions procedures, educational programs, and industry trends will be essential in advising students on educational options. Reporting to the Project Head, you will collaborate with department heads, subject matter experts, and external vendors to identify training needs, develop learning strategies, and deliver engaging training programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist students in selecting the right course.
  • Sell courses through outbound, inbound, and online processes.
  • Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets.
  • Be self-motivated and organized, capable of managing high volumes of customer interactions.
  • Counsel working professionals regarding suitable courses based on their domain.
  • Familiarity with CRM software for lead management and reporting is an advantage.
  • Identify opportunities for new business development through lead generation.
  • Coordinate pre-sales and post-sales follow-up.
  • Attend around 150 calls daily to meet targets.
  • Create and maintain a database of prospective clients using Salesforce, Excel, etc., and leverage existing customer references to increase the sales pipeline.
  • Conduct inside sales and outdoor meetings if required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduates in Sales, Business, or Management streams.

Competencies:

Problem-solving and interpersonal skills, excellent presentation, active listening, negotiation, and communication skills. Enthusiastic, spontaneous, and passionate about sales. Experience from 0 to 3 years.
