Job summary

Next Education India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Academic Trainer to deliver engaging teacher training in schools and on-site locations, covering Pre-Primary through Computer Science. You will plan, run, and adapt sessions for educators, combining in-person and online formats.

The role requires travel up to 70–80%, strong English communication, and the ability to mentor teachers on pedagogy, curriculum use, and digital tools. A relevant degree and teaching experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Arts, CS, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of teaching or academic training experience.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of school curriculums.
• For Pre-Primary roles, knowledge of early childhood development.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 70–80%.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured, engaging training sessions for teachers, principals, and academic coordinators through in-person and online formats.
• Conduct subject-specific training in assigned areas, including Pre-Primary, English, Science, and Computer Science, using interactive and activity-based teaching methodologies.
• Visit partner schools to facilitate teacher training, product implementation, classroom integration, and academic support.
• Train educators on the effective use of Next Educations curriculum, textbooks, digital content, learning platforms, and other educational resources.
• Demonstrate teaching methodologies, digital tools, coding resources, and classroom-ready activities relevant to the assigned subject.
• Develop, update, and maintain training presentations, lesson plans, teaching resources, user guides, and other academic materials.
• Provide academic mentoring and guidance to teachers on subject concepts, pedagogy, classroom management, and learner engagement.
• Observe classroom practices, assess training effectiveness, collect feedback, and recommend improvements in teaching and learning outcomes.
• Conduct assessments, workshops, refresher training sessions, certification programs, and professional development initiatives for educators.
• Collaborate with academic, content, product, and technology teams to improve training quality and support curriculum implementation.
• Stay updated on curriculum changes, educational technologies, and emerging teaching and learning practices relevant to the assigned subject.
• Provide ongoing academic and basic technical support to schools to ensure effective adoption of products and solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of school visits, training sessions, attendance, assessments, feedback, and school-wise progress reports.
• Travel extensively to assigned locations and schools as required for training and implementation activities.

Qualifications & Preferred Candidate Skills

• Bachelors degree in Education, Science, Arts, Computer Science, Information Technology, Early Childhood Education, or a relevant discipline. A Masters degree or relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in teaching, academic training, teacher development, or academic facilitation.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the relevant school curriculum in the assigned subject area.
• For Pre-Primary roles, a sound understanding of early childhood education, child psychology, foundational literacy, numeracy, and holistic development.
• For English roles, excellent command of English language, grammar, communication, and language-teaching methodologies.
• For Science roles, a strong understanding of school-level Science concepts and activity-based learning methodologies.
• For Computer Science roles, familiarity with school-level computing concepts, coding fundamentals, digital learning tools, and programming platforms such as Scratch or Python will be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage, motivate, and mentor teachers and diverse groups of learners effectively.
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple school assignments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including 70%80% travel, to assigned schools and locations.
