Job summary

Azim Premji University, Bhopal, invites applications for full-time faculty positions. This is a 2-year full-time position. The work hours need to be flexible, as the expectation is out of classroom hours.

The Academic Associate for Economics will work with faculty on undergraduate courses, conduct tutorials, prepare teaching material, and mentor students, focusing on quantitative economics and empirical methods in both English and Hindi.

• An interest in teaching and engaging with a socially and academically diverse cohort of students.

Responsibilities

• Working with faculty on two to three undergraduate courses, with substantial mathematical and programming content, each semester.
• Conducting tutorials for students who need help in topics like probability and calculus.
• Preparing teaching material, conducting diagnostic tests, and providing extra support to student projects outside of class hours.
• Mentoring undergraduate Economics students and working with them on their projects and other activities.

Azim Premji University, Bhopal,started operations in August 2023, offering postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The first phase of campus construction is complete and the overall 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art academic and residential facilities will be ready over the next few years. We expect to grow to about 4000 students and 500 members over the next fewyears.

We are expanding our programme offerings and are inviting applications for full time faculty positions. We will offer faculty an enriching and fulfilling institution building experience encompassing inter disciplinary programme design, development, and research opportunities, setting up and implementation of key institutional processes, culture building and participation in various institutional bodies.

The members joining in this role will contribute to the courses in the Undergraduate Programme at the University in Bhopal. This is a 2-year full-timeposition.
