Job summary

Inver Grove Heights Schools is seeking a dedicated 9th Grade Boys Soccer Coach for the upcoming season. The coach will develop, instruct, and supervise freshmen players, focusing on fundamentals, sportsmanship, and community engagement.

The role runs from August 17, 2026 to October 10, 2026, with seasonal part-time employment and a total pay of $2,575.00. For more information contact Will Short, Activities Director.

Qualifications

• Meets the minimum State Statute Requirement to be a head coach in Minnesota.
• Attend an MSHSL “Why We Play” Head Coaches Course.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning, but as helping teams members reach defined goals and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coach the 9th Grade Boys Soccer team and oversee practices and games.
• Develop players' fundamental soccer skills and sportsmanship.
• Support transition of student-athletes to high school level and promote team belonging.
• Coordinate with the Activities Department and communicate with Will Short, the Activities Director.

Inver Grove Heights Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable 9th Grade Soccer Coach for the upcoming spring season. The 9th Grade Coach is responsible for the development, instruction, and supervision of the freshman baseball team. This role focuses on transitioning student-athletes from youth programs to the high school level by emphasizing fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and the "199 Way" of belonging and engagement.

Simley High School and the Activities Department, has a tradition of excellence and a history of accomplishment.
