Job summary

Innovaccer is seeking a Platform Engineer to deploy and operate services on OpenShift in customer data centres using a GitOps-driven model. You will scale hundreds of services with Helm overlays, re-point CI pipelines to on-premise targets, and ensure health through structured validation.

You will manage the platform layer, observability, and secret management, while troubleshooting complex deployment and networking issues.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of platform, DevOps, or SRE experience with production Kubernetes; OpenShift experience is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with Helm and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD preferred).
• Working knowledge of CI systems (GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, or equivalent) and container registries.
• Solid scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and log aggregation.
• Exposure to HashiCorp Vault, secrets management, or certificate handling is a plus.
• Experience in regulated or restricted-network environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy services to OpenShift via ArgoCD: author and maintain Helm values overlays, application manifests, and environment-specific configuration
• Re-point CI pipelines, service endpoints, and credentials from cloud targets to on-premise equivalents at scale, following dependency-ordered rollout plans
• Operate the shared platform layer: operator-managed data stores, KEDA autoscaling, ingress gateways, and secrets delivered through Vault and External Secrets
• Execute per-service validation: health checks, smoke tests, and functional verification, and feed results back into the rollout tracker
• Build and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts, and contribute to runbooks for steady-state operations
• Troubleshoot deployment, networking, and configuration issues across namespaces in a default-deny network model

About The Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will deploy and operate Innovaccer's services on OpenShift in customer data centres through a fully GitOps-driven delivery model. This is high-throughput platform work: bringing hundreds of services up in a new environment through Helm and ArgoCD, re-pointing CI pipelines and service configurations to on-premise targets, and making each service provably healthy through structured validation. You will be part of the squads that turn a rollout plan into a running platform.

A Day in the Life

• Deploy services to OpenShift via ArgoCD: author and maintain Helm values overlays, application manifests, and environment-specific configuration

What You Need

• B.E., B.Tech., M.Sc. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 6+ years of platform, DevOps, or SRE experience with production Kubernetes; OpenShift experience is a strong plus
• Hands-on experience with Helm and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD preferred)
• Working knowledge of CI systems (GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, or equivalent) and container registries
