Job Description
We are looking to hire an Associate Software Engineer – ERP Developer, with excellent technical and communication skills, to collaborate effectively with IT and business stakeholders. The role involves understanding their needs and developing functionality and enhancements for the ERP. Daily responsibilities include resolving production issues and performing other duties aligned with the role's responsibilities to support the business.
This position offers an opportunity to join our ERP team, focusing on professional development and hands-on training with various ERPs. You will be responsible for designing, supporting, and implementing IT processes, providing solutions to complex problems, and supporting functional areas across the organization globally. The candidate should understand the software development lifecycle and utilize agile (SCRUM) methodology to deliver solutions that meet end-user needs.
Responsibilities
- Install, upgrade, and patch ERP and enterprise-level software.
- Design, develop, and maintain production, development, testing, and training environments.
- Control access to these environments in compliance with SOX regulations.
- Migrate software changes in compliance with SOX regulations.
- Create, update, monitor, and troubleshoot ERP batch jobs.
- Administer ERP systems, including user permissions, workflows, and interfaces.
- Troubleshoot ERP system and data issues using SQL scripting and log analysis.
- Present work output clearly and concisely.
- Apply problem-solving skills to execute solutions independently.
- Utilize IT skills for work assignments and mentor others.
- Develop and improve IT processes and identify opportunities for technology enhancements.
- Lead and complete complex IT tasks and small projects independently.
- Manage project accountability and perform additional duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant field (preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in Microsoft SQL and ERP development projects.
- Experience with relational databases like SQL Server or MySQL.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server OS.
- Programming and tuning experience with Microsoft SQL and T-SQL.
- Experience with 2020 Insight (preferred).
- AWS cloud awareness (preferred).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Proficiency with office tools and understanding of how technology solves business problems.
- Ability to follow directions, accept constructive criticism, and meet deadlines.
- Adherence to defined processes and procedures.
- This role requires working US shift hours (5:30 PM – 2:30 AM India time).
