Job summary

Tag is a Bengaluru-based creative production agency seeking a skilled 2D Illustrator to transform ideas into engaging visuals for digital and print campaigns. You will create characters, environments, storyboards, and marketing visuals, collaborating with directors, designers, copywriters, motion designers and producers to bring concepts to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Animation, Motion Graphics, Multimedia, Visual Communication, Design, or related field.
• 3–10 years of experience in illustration, advertising, publishing, gaming, animation, or digital media.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a range of illustration styles, concepts, and finished artwork.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D illustrations for digital and print.
• Develop concept sketches, mood boards, character designs, environments, icons, and visual assets based on creative briefs.
• Translate ideas, scripts, and rough concepts into polished illustrations that communicate effectively.
• Adapt your illustration style to suit different brands, audiences, and creative requirements.
• Ensure visual consistency across campaigns, products, and marketing materials.
• Prepare artwork for both Video and characters
• Work closely with creative directors, designers, copywriters, motion designers, and producers throughout the creative process.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh visual ideas.
• Manage multiple illustration projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
• Maintain organized project files and follow studio design standards.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented 2D Illustrator who can transform ideas into engaging visual artwork. Whether it's creating characters, environments, storyboards, marketing visuals, or digital illustrations, you'll play a key role in bringing concepts to life through compelling imagery. .

Key responsibilities

Illustration & Visual Design:

• Create high-quality 2D illustrations for digital, print, advertising, social media, presentations, animation, and interactive experiences.
• Develop concept sketches, mood boards, character designs, environments, icons, and visual assets based on creative briefs.
• Translate ideas, scripts, and rough concepts into polished illustrations that communicate effectively.
• Adapt your illustration style to suit different brands, audiences, and creative requirements.
• Ensure visual consistency across campaigns, products, and marketing materials.
• Prepare artwork for both Video and characters

Technical Skills:

• Strong illustration fundamentals including anatomy, perspective, composition, color theory, lighting, and storytelling.
• Ability to create both hand-drawn and digital illustrations across multiple styles.
• Excellent sketching and concept development skills.
• Understanding of typography, branding, and visual communication principles.
• Ability to work from creative briefs while bringing original ideas to the table.
• Attention to detail with a strong sense of aesthetics and visual balance.

Software Experience:

• Adobe Illustrator
• Procreate (preferred)
• Adobe Fresco or Clip Studio Paint (good to have)

• Basic understanding of AI-assisted creative tools for ideation and workflow enhancement.
• Experience working with brand guidelines and Integrated campaigns.
