Job summary

EXL in India seeks a Revenue Recognition Specialist to drive US GAAP/ASC 606 compliant accounting for client contracts, ensuring timely revenue recognition. You will review contracts, prepare technical memos, and collaborate with Accounting, Business, and Finance to align with ASC606 guidance.

You will also support statutory auditors and maintain strong internal controls to uphold controllership objectives in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Drive compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition of client contracts.
• Prepare technical accounting memos documenting revenue conclusions.

• Contract review and technical accounting assessment for revenue treatment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Business, and Business finance to ensure ASC606 alignment.

Job description

• Prepare technical accounting memo/white papers to document revenue recognition conclusion and accounting positions.
• Collaborate with business cross function teams including Accounting, Business and Business finance to ensure alignment with ASC606 guidance
• Support statutory Auditors and ensure that internal control and governance processes are in place to support controllership objective
