VP Technology / Senior Technical Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for aVP Technology / Senior Technical Architect to lead the architecture and evolution of our platform.

We are seeking a hands-on technology leader who can define architecture, drive execution, and solve complex technical challenges, particularly across data, APIs, and third-party software and ERP integrations.

You will play a critical role in building scalable, high-performance, and integration-heavy systems powering global digital commerce solutions.

Technology Leadership

• Partner with business and product teams to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions.
• Own architecture decisions, technology standards, and platform scalability.
• Design, develop, and maintain API integrations between eCommerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify, custom platforms) and ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
• Integrate third-party services such as suppliers, payment gateways, shipping providers, and product data platforms (e.g., PromoStandards APIs).
• Ensure accurate and real-time synchronization of orders, inventory, pricing, and customer data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, data mismatches, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Engineering, and Operations) to define integration requirements.
• Monitor API performance, logs, and error-handling mechanisms.
• Implement best practices for security, scalability, and data integrity.
• Document integration workflows, APIs, and data mappings.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple integrations.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.
• Stable and scalable integrations across eCommerce and ERP systems.
• Reduced manual intervention in data handling.

Required Skills

• 10–12 years of experience in technology leadership, architecture roles, API integrations, and backend development.
• Proven experience in building and scaling integration-heavy, distributed systems in a cloud-native environment.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Microservices and distributed architecture.
  • REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and middleware integrations.
  • ERP systems (Business Central preferred).
  • Backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms.
  • JSON, XML, and data transformation.
  • Databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
  • Authentication methods (OAuth, API Keys, JWT).
  • Data architecture, data pipelines, and transformation layers.
• Deep understanding of event-driven systems, messaging queues, and asynchronous architectures.
• Experience working with AWS or similar cloud platforms, including designing for scalability, reliability, and performance.
